Takes a voice recording and reduces sibilance, the harsh hiss on s, sh, z and ch sounds that close microphones and bright voices produce, with ffmpeg's de-esser at light, medium or strong intensity. Only the sibilant frequencies are attenuated when they occur, so the rest of the voice keeps its brightness. Too strong a setting makes speech sound lispy; medium suits most podcasts. Runs locally with ffmpeg; nothing leaves this machine and nothing is stored. Output inline as base64, max 8 MB.
