DDG sla-monitor

Overview

Register one 7-day monitoring window for a URL ($0.01 per window). An idempotent daemon thread (started on first use, 5-minute cadence, honored stop flag) re-probes every ACTIVE monitor once, records reachable + latency_ms, and prunes each monitor's history to the 2016-row cap (7 days x 288 samples/day). Re-registering the same url/agent inside an open window returns the same monitor_id unchanged (already_registered: true) instead of charging a second window; a window whose end has passed frees its slot and is renewed in place. Global cap: 100 active monitors.
