Overview
Computes cryptographic hash digests of any input string across five algorithms: sha1, sha256 (default), sha384, sha512, and md5. Returns hex, base64, and base64url encodings of each digest. SubtleCrypto powers the SHA family; MD5 is computed by a small in-process implementation (the web crypto spec doesn't expose MD5, but it's still useful for cache keys and content fingerprinting where collision-resistance isn't required).
